When we enter the holy covenant of love
We are vouchsafed ineffable joy
Which, if we live long enough
Will terminate by suffering
The ineffable pain of loss;
The four pillars that hold
The holy temple of love
Are Joy and suffering,
Commitment and sacrifice.
